The new coin is the latest addition to PAMP's cooperative international coin program with UNESCO, which seeks to promote the organization's World Heritage sites and global missions.
Featuring artwork original to PAMP, the coin's astonishing reverse image was inspired by the abundant aquatic wildlife of East Rennell. Located within the Solomon Islands, the breathtaking World Heritage site is part of the largest raised coral atoll in the world.
The coin is the first to commemorate the Solomon Islands within PAMP and UNESCO's World Heritage Coin program and bears the country's official effigy.
The East Rennell, Underwater Nature coin will be released on November 2016 as a $2 fine silver coin.
